At school 50, social workers provide mental health counseling and referral services to students in both the general and special education programs. Counseling is delivered through individual and group settings, with referrals to community agencies as needed. These services are mandated through IEP counseling and/or referrals to the Student and Family Support Center. The center is a new program at the elementary school level and is funded through Wellness Center federal grants.
